Cassie Lang, Stature, N°2
Let's check her now.
Hair are covering partially the face, this should give her a less wide face.
There are basic proportions to be respected in a body. Male:
and female:
The basic rule states that 8 heads is the proportional ideal body for both, that is head (skipping hair) has to be 1/8 of the body. Let's check Stature:
She has definitely a big head! hihihihi!
Ok, two chances now: to reply with another new head, or to finish her and pay more attention on the next creation... I'll think it about tomorrow with the White Magic Sculp and Tamiya Putty correction dry...

Waiting for the next custom I hope you'll feel inspired by reading the rules of the next (IX°) contest for customizers that started recently and will end on december 23rd next coming.
Hope all of you will take part in order to make this event a international one!
Do not hesitate to ask for further informations if you want be there!
The rules hereunder were been published in the CMFC Italian Forum by the Organizer, chief Hawkman.
Theme Contest Custom, 9° edition.
To all those people who wanted to participate, to the ninth contest for customizers of the our beloved Forum, here is the subject theme of the new competition:
Cosmic Powers
The choice, agreed with the winner of the last edition, this time has reverted on the super heroes and super criminals, both DC or Marvel, belonging to the category of the "Cosmic" characters.
Classical or modern versions of the super heroes or super-villains, both Marvel and DC universe, with the following specifics:
- only super heroes or super-villains,
- only unissued characters, or ever appeared with that specific custom, in the two collections Eaglemoss,
- and that thay have as set for their adventures the cosmos or that they are alien.
In practice, they would be liked to see represented: all characters that have'nt yet been included in the DC or in the Marvel Collection from Eaglemoss (excluded the case of "Variants") with the characteristic to be tied to the boundless interstellar spaces...
Seen the enormous quantity of usable characters and that however they are enough beloved and known from the majority of the people, but above all seen the ever increasing cleverness of the friends customizers, this ninth contest will take this strict classification (see above).
It will be possible to show a custom, in which the represented character is wearing a classical uniform or a more recent version of his (if it existed one of them), but absolutely DC or Marvel.
The miniatures can represent any masculine or female character according the categories quoted above.
In resuming:
any masculine or female character, provided DC or Marvel (or formerly DC and/or Marvel). It is possible to show also custom already done by other customizers but at least rearranged.
Once again: un-issued in the Eaglemosss Collection (Marvel or DC).
Seen the good results of the preceding contest's rules, the only limitations will be also this time:
"The miniatures absolutely must not show any pornographic character, blasphemous, political, vulgar, excessively violent or that can bring uneasiness or trouble to the users of the Forum; otherwise disqualification from the contest."
- Fundamental it is to be also consumers of our Forum; if not him he is, he remembers that the registration is free.
- There won't be therefore categories or limitations on the use of the materalis.
The customs, can be or simple variations of coloration, or slightly you modify (example, the substitution of a head or to model a part of the custom) or a completely new model.
It doesn't care if the miniature will be of the Collection Marvel or DC, enough that she found him on a model Eaglemoss (from this time also the Chess Collection DC or the Buffy & Angel Collection), or graven totally from you.
- There will be no limitations on the height; therefore you can use or normal or Special miniatures or Mega Specials.
- It doesn't care if the miniature that you will use as base were in lead or in resin, enough that she am based on one of the Collection Marvel or DC or the new Collection of the Chess DC or the Buffy & Angel Collection, of the Eaglemoss.
- Miniatures are admitted to only whole figure, therefore you avoid the busts or extra reproductions Eaglemoss (you see Bowen or similar).
- Dioramas is admitted, also provided that not superior in greatness united two sideburns of Mega Special, therefore maximum dimension 14x14 cms (dimension however concordabile with the organization).
- The gargoyles as that of also the Spider-man are admitted for subscribers or the Spider-man black.
- Once arranged the miniature by to produce, you will have to send within midnight of the 23 December 2012, the alone images of your custom.
The images, three, won't have at the most to be superior to the 500 Kbs and not to be superior to the 450x600 pixels or a classical photo
4 sides of maximum dimension of 1022x341 pixels.
And' however possible to accept a certain tolerance, where your photo reverts in the dimension limit, of the publishable images on the pages of our Forum.
If you want uploded on a fotogallery online, even better; you will send only me the links.
The photos will be anonymous, without writings, logos or personalized backgrounds, to do so that the voter, is not in some influenceable way.
To such purpose, you use a completely white background (at the most previously can be arranged with the organization, the use of a different color).
The miniatures have to be unpublished, or rather must not have appeared in any other Forum similar to ours.
Had the photos, a special page will be prepared for the next vote, where you will have posted your creations.
- The criterion for the vote will be free.
Every voter will have available a solo vote that will stay anonymous (as for the surveys of the Forum) and the space for a possible comment on the miniatures.
The winner, for this ninth contest (as for the preceding editions), it will be that that will have the most greater number of votes at the end of the period of vote or rather that the public is be liked more.
- To avoid duplicates in the realizations and not wanting to give a list, limitante the imagination of the friends, if it were possible, contact to know me if the character that you will want to do both is already reserved or less.
Send me a message or to the box email of the Forum, or to the address email:
hawkman69@hotmail.it
If you will need elucidations, if you believe that the rule is a little clear or incomplete, contact me.
If you want to give your adhesion, contact me.
If you need images for your realization, contact me.
If you want to invite new customizers, they will be the welcome ones, previous registration to our Forum
Once chosen your miniature by to reproduce, I will maintain the maximum reserve not to benefit none of you, as for the preceding editions.
To I forgot; if you want to keep on posting well the images of your customs everything, you avoid the Work in progress of the miniatures of the contest or other inherent, actually at the end of the vote.
To this point, he doesn't remain but to begin to put on to the job with the customs.
Bye.

Jessan Hoan as Tyger Tiger
Courtesy of wikipedia:
Jessan Hoan was born in Singapore. She worked at her family's financial institution, the Hoan International Bank, when the Reavers robbed the bank. The Reavers kidnapped Jessan and killed several members of her family during the robbery. While Jessan was held prisoner at the Reavers' Australian base, the Reaver named Pretty Boy tried to alter Jessan's mind so that she would join their criminal band as a financial expert. The X-Men interrupted the process, freed Jessan, and defeated the Reavers. The supernatural being Roma subsequently teleported Jessan back to her family's bank.
Jessan was ostracized by her family because she mysteriously survived the attack that killed several of her relatives. In addition, Jessan found that she had lost some of her inhibitions as a result of the partial brainwashing by Pretty Boy. However, she still retained most of her moral integrity and did not become entirely evil.
Jessan later discovered that the Reavers had been hired to attack Hoan International bank by Roche, the crime lord of Madripoor. She moved to the island of Madripoor, where she became embroiled with the criminal element and adopted the alias "Tyger Tiger", after the William Blake poem "The Tyger".
Wolverine later joined Jessan's efforts against Roche. Jessan decapitated Roche after he shot Wolverine.
As Tyger Tiger, Jessan became the new crime lord of Madripoor, but she refuses to deal in either drugs or slavery. She briefly wore a highly resistant suit of armor, a duplicate of the armor used by the X-Man Psylocke.
And the next going work from scratch:

Satana
HI!
The 8th italian custom-from-Eaglemoss contest just ended.
I consdier this event the most successful in the last years: 14 partecipants, 14 wonderful customs, wonderful atmosphere.
It was a pity that only italian customizers took part. There are many amazing customizers around the world, but they did not join the widest contest ever organized, probably this kind of art is still too young and there is not yet a sense of commonality all around. Every one is still grabbed to his local national background.
Hope one day we can see a real Rimet Cup for customizers.
To end, my big compliments to the organizer, Mr. Chief Hawkman and to all the participants.
Hey!? Don't ask my position in the contest, as always and well known, I arrived at the last place!!! hihihihihi!
I participated with miss Satana:
Ico version for my SEE THEM ALL! section:

Black Racer completed (Serpent Society)
Still missing Anaconda, Princess Python and Sidewinder to really state my Serpent Society completed, but I'll not wait so long...
Black Racer History (Wikipedia):
A quiet woman with super speed, Black Racer first joined the fourth Serpent Squad, robbing a casino in Las Vegas. Sidewinder took note of this, and invited the Serpent Squad to join his Serpent Society. They accepted, but were really just involved in a ploy to get Viper into the leadership position of the Society. Black Racer was among the several members to side with Viper and betray Sidewinder.
She was ordered by Viper to search all the hospitals in the area for the injured former leader. However, after Viper abandoned the group, Black Racer continued to serve with the Society under leadership of Cobra. She also participated in a race between super heroes and villains with super speed. However, she disappeared for quite some time, only resurfacing recently alongside the rest of the Serpent Society as they sought to exact their revenge on Diamondback.
Scratch built with: Super Sculpey Living Dolls Flash (Body), Magic Sculpt White (arms, hair and feet) and Tamiya epoxy Putty (all accessories and facial mask).

Black Racer (Serpent Society)
I always had in mind to publish a tutorial about different putty trades for sculpting or modify eaglemoss character from the Marvel Comics collection.
Before to do this, I wanted to try another putty, the last I imagine, from Tamiya.
So this scratch built figure of Black Racer (she was still missing in my Serpent Society collection) is made with the followings materials:
1-Body/Super Sculpey Living Dolls Flash (baked 15 mins at 130°C)
2-Bottom corrections, arms, hands and feet/Magic Sculpt White
3-Accessories, mask and hair/Tamiya Epoxy Putty Quick type (very quick I would add...)
Hope you like it, by my point of view I can't wait to paint her!!!
Suggestions for improvements are pretty welcome!

Making superhero figure tutorial 7: end. Mr. Immortal
Finally had time to complete this new figure.
The character is Mr. Immortal, thanks to a suggestion from John!
Who is Mr. Immortal in brief:
Mr. Immortal possesses
the superhuman ability of immortality. Before her untimely death, his
teammate and sometimes lover Dinah
Soar was the only one able to calm him down when he was revived, as he was
prone to fits of rage upon returning to life. This unique ability has always
given him the courage to try daring, reckless life-endangering stunts and he is
quite ready to sacrifice himself for the rest of the team. It has also left him
in frequent states of depression by having to watch his loved ones die around
him. He discovered his ability after attempting suicide several times. He is
quoted as saying, "All you're threatening me with is death. And dying's what I
do best!" (Courtesy of Wikipedia).
The final painting:
1-Drakenhof Nightshade blue wash shade (Citadel)
2-Alaitoc Blue (Citadel)3-Guilliman Blue wash glaze (Citadel)
4-Again Alatoic Blue Layer (Citadel), the visible the masks for painting the black (Matt Black Life Color opaque) and white (Matt White Life Coloro opaque) parts. Then painted.
5-Bloodletter Red Wash glaze on red parts again (Citadel).
6-Desert Sand 49 (Life Color) on face plus Flashtone shade wash (Vallejo).
7-Hair: Chrome Yellow (Life Color) plus Flash Gitz Yellow Layer (Citadel) plus a wash with Sepia shade (Vallejo) and finally again Flash Gitz Yellow spotting.
8-Again Alatoic Blue (Citadel) on blue spots, second smoother wash with Flashtone Shade (Vallejo). At the end, not visible here, the final paint on the base: two hands of Matt Black opaque (Lifecolor).
The final result is shown at the beginning.
Well, I have to say I really enjoyed making this Mr. Immortal figure, a scratch built figure mainly produced with Super Sculpey. But above all I hope you anjoyed the tutorial and I hope that the many of you that are not yet involved in this nice hobby to create Superheroes for their own collection will be motivated to try.
Hope to get your comments.
And now...? What's the next?
I think soon I'll start on Rocket Raccon, and probably a couple of pure custom works just in order to not loose practice in customizing Eaglemoss wonderful miniatures!
byezz!

Making superhero figure tutorial 6
Ok, time to spend some brush on the other figure. We left with the body and head sculpted but with some little modification to be done. As shown in the next photos, I made these corrections and started painting.
Just to resume:
Almost all figure has been scratch build with Super Sculpey grey firm: body and face. Hands, hair, feet and neck are made scratch built using white Magic Sculpt.
Let's see:
Pic 1: just a grey primer Tamiya
Pics 2 and 3: Mephiston Red base from Citadel
Pic 4: a Vallejo wash Red Shade on the Mephiston Red and later on a layer of Evil Sunz Scarlet from Citadel (just a little brighter than the Mephiston Red). Some line already traced with Matt Black (satin) from Lifecolor
Pic 5: Black lines almost completed and a first blue layer (Alaitoc Blue from Citadel)
Hope tomorrow I'll have time to finish with the blue parts and go ahead with the rest.
Probably the most addicted to Marvel Comics could start to recognize who is the charatcter...
byezz

Making superhero figure tutorial 5
So finally the troll was painted. yet to be finished with a couple of wash layers to light some areas and add dark to others, plus still a final satin tranpasrent layer, but pratically finished.
It seems to be Ulik.
Ulik belongs to a race of Rock Trolls who live in the dimension of Asgard in the "Domain of Trolls" in Nornheim. Like all trolls, Ulik has an innate hatred of the Asgardians as they were driven underground by the King of the Norse gods, Odin, and forbidden to live on the surface. Ulik is commanded by the Rock Troll King, Geirrodur, to steal Thor's enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, before an attempt to invade Asgard, leading to an extended series of battles with the Thunder God. Ulik proves to be a match for Thor, as the character possessing increasing strength and is equipped with knuckle dusters made of the metal uru (the same metal Mjolnir is composed of). He nearly defeats Thor after going into the berserker state of mind, but is transported away by Geirrodur. Later on Earth he traps Thor in his guise as Don Blake, and tries to gain the power of Thor with his cane. Don tells him to strike it again, although Ulik says if this fails he will kill Blake, but when Ulik brings the cane down Don suddenly holds it, meaning he transforms into Thor.
I don't reveal yet who is the other character in progress, but John would be glad to see him soon...
Making superhero figure tutorial 4
Added hair to the human figure and started sculpt of his hands and completed feet.
I gave also a primer grey layer to the troll figure.
With the grey primer it's easier to check for errors and parts to be adjusted.
Mainly I think still have to correct something on the right hand of the human figure, his hair are too long also and a little cut of hair is needed on the troll also... tomorrow when the Magic Sculpt is dry I'll manage these changes.
I'm enough satisfied till now. My complain goes to the fact I couldn't finish everything in Super Sculpey. I still need some base to support the figure when sculpting. I ordered at the shop, hope will be ready for the next figures. By the way I loved this first experience in Super sculpey!

Making superhero figure tutorial 3
After assembled the head to his body and placed the feet bases to the figure, had some time to start sculpting the other one. On the main body made in Super Sculpey Firm I just modeled some accessories, the face and the hands with White Magic Sculpt
