X-COM custom figure: Lily Shen, Alien Troops: Andromedon and Exalt Member

 

Dear all, you already have seen previously in this blog the progress of all this X-COM custom figures, so I don't want waste your time, here we have the custom painted and finalized.

Lily Shen: "half custom" made by different parts from a Ma.K. figure 1/20 and "Frankensteined" together with my work of custom.

The Alien troop Andromedon, one of the fearest in X-COM 2. This is not a proper custom, being a 100% scratch built by me.

In general I define as "custom" a figure that I made starting from a complete base figure by adjusting and changing some parts of the body or the armor or else. I define as "half custom" a figure that I make by taking only parts of another pre-existing figure (always in 1/20 or 1/24 scale) like for example the head or the body without legs nor arms.

Last I define a "scratch built one" the custom that I made 100% starting from iron wire and sculpting every parts from the head to the base.     

Last one is the Exalt Member that is properly a custom, made starting from a copy of an Eaglemos's  Guardian. (Long life to Eaglemoss, number one in miniatures!)

XCOM Lily Shen Advent Mech and Exalt troop progress

 

Hi folks, just a sneak preview of what's going on.

Lily Shen almost done, still missing a decent base for her figure, the Exalt buddy is sculpted and now just needs to be painted. 

Last is the Advent Mech, scratch built, that is still on the sculpting phase but I started already to paint it in order to have a better view of the progress.

XCOM custom figures, 1/20 aka 1:20 progress of Exalt, Lily Shen and the unfortunate case of Mr. Advent Mech

 

Hallo fellows!

Just a sneak preview of Lily Shen and the Exalt member...

and why not... something of the Andromedon...

I was happy yesterday to receive the Pacific Rim figure I choose to use as base figure for my Mech Advent, but very soon I realized that it is totally out of scale and the proportion cannot be respectd. You already know that in my world of customs everything revolves around a single simple rule

s: scale 90mm. That is 1:20 (tolerating 1/24...).

Soooo.... bad choice and waste money for it!

But I want a Mech Advent into the collection... So I asked eng. Shen to start bulding one for me.

You can see the green parts of FIMO on the paper.

Well... five years old FIMO is not the best to start a scratch built Advent Mech, but I have nothing esle tu use... 

Time to bake the party... 130°C for 30'. Do not overbake!

And this is a new very beginning..

Last but not least, when you wait for the Mech Advent to be baked.... spend your time with an Andromedon, sounds good, doesn't it?

XCOM Viper and Archon

 

Finally I finished the XCOM figures Viper and the Archon.

Usual scale 1/20,.

Archon is a custom from Eaglemoss figure Guardian, while Viper is a custom from Eaglemoss Invisible Woman.

I am really proud for both XCOM Viper and XCOM Archon customs, hope that you apreciate the work behind them. Nothing compared to the effort I am producing for the Andromedon... but I hope you apreciate tha outputs!

X-COM Viper

XCOM : the S.H.I.V. and the alien Gate Keeper

Gentlemen I have finished two other XCOM custom miniatures.

The first is the S.H.I.V. and the second is the Gate Keeper.

The S.H.I.V. (Super Heavy Infantry Vehicle) is a weapons platform in XCOM: Enemy Unknown that can be manufactured in the Engineering Lab. S.H.I.V.s can be deployed as substitutes for human soldiers on missions and require a space in the XCOM HQ barracks. (Courtesy of https://xcom.fandom.com/ )

S.H.I.V. is the "must have" member of your Team Menace 1-5 when you have a crowded infirmary!

I used a Steyr RSO/01 model from De Agostini for this custom:

Maybe you can identify the parts added, the scratch built ones and the used also. Maybe...

The second XCOM custom figure is the alien's Gate Keeper.

One of the worst enemies to face in your battles due to the number of hits requested to beat it!
