Making superhero figure tutorial 4

Added hair to the human figure and started sculpt of his hands and completed feet.
I gave also a primer grey layer to the troll figure.

With the grey primer it's easier to check for errors and parts to be adjusted.

Mainly I think still have to correct something on the right hand of the human figure, his hair are too long also and a little cut of hair is needed on the troll also... tomorrow when the Magic Sculpt is dry I'll manage these changes.

I'm enough satisfied till now. My complain goes to the fact I couldn't finish everything in Super Sculpey. I still need some base to support the figure when sculpting. I ordered at the shop, hope will be ready for the next figures. By the way I loved this first experience in Super sculpey!

After assembled the head to his body and placed the feet bases to the figure, had some time to start sculpting the other one. On the main body made in Super Sculpey Firm I just modeled some accessories, the face and the hands with White Magic Sculpt

This time I started with a new material to me: Super Sculpey.

Just modeled the iron wire on the right proportions, then started sculpting:

 Couldn't find any tubolar junctions on e-bay for less than 29€, so deceided to model it all in Super Sculpey except for arms, feet and head that I think I'll do with white Magic Sculp or green Milliput.

Here after baked 15 minutes at 130°C:

I was really worried about baking as a previous old experience with Fimo was a total disaster. I have to admit Super Sculpey is much more easy to bake and is really easy to model, same of Magic Sculp, with the advantage that you don't need to rush.

Penance completed

Penance is now completed and ready to be shipped. But... how to ship this delicate figure without the certaintythat will be destroyed during transportation????

Made starting from a official Eaglemoss Captain Britain resin copy, with changes in whitw Magic Sculp:

The many faces of Jennifer Susan Walters

While waiting the weekend to paint Penance I took a picture of any of the customs I produced on She Hulk figure. The character is considered by the most only for the Red She Hulk variant (that I made instead from Rogue figure, cfr. my custom number 49 at http://ffz.leonardo.it/discussione.aspx?idd=9516246 ).

Here it follows six characters I liked to obtain from She Hulk figure:

I think She Hulk official Eaglemoss is really one of the best figure in the collection. Also for customs.

Ashema completed

Finally a made from scratch one!
I'm pretty satisfied with the body in general and the dress. Painting also.

Still a long way to walk if I want to have a satisfactory female face sculpt and even the hair, that I dunno consider a difficulty, do not satisfy me 100% in this case.

On the next made from scratch custom I shall give longer time for sculpting the face. I think passing from Magic sculp to Super Sculpey could help in this respect, because Magic Sculp remains shapeable and can be modeled for one hour, while Super Sculpey stays forever until baked at 130°C for 30 mins.

After ending Penance (and the custom that I'm making for the 8th contest that cannot be shown yet) I want to post here a tutorial on different kind of resin and compound for sculpting I used until now.

With Penance my intention is to make a tutorial about painting a custom.

Some detail about this custom of Ashema from Marvel Comics:
the baseplate is a resin copy of the standard eaglemoss one, the character finishing is entirely modeled from scratch with Magic Sculp white type. The core was instead made with Green Milliput just to give a start form. In the previous posts you can find the tutorial step by step from the beginning.

The character was requested by my friend Ash, aka Ashema. Now she can come here to collect. :)
