X-COM Advent Mech corrected

 

Ops! I forgot the backpack weapon for this custom figure, so that last weekend I added the cannon and here is the newly Advent Mech. See also in the four D gallery! Just needed a broken pen and a empty lighter... ;)

X-COM 2: soldier Silke Stockigt, Rookie with Medikit

 

Here we go with another member of the Team Menace 1-5, She's a Rookie ranked.

Rookies can also be trained as a specific class of soldier when passing through the Guerrilla Tactics School, even if they did not take part to any battle, that is without real experience on the field. 

This characteristic is useful to pass over the Rookie stage, where soldiers are easily in danger for their lives, and give them the possibility to obtain the abilities to be used in battle without having their "first contact" in reality.

Rookies can be equipped with any type of armour and are able to use items such, for example, the Medikit.

Silke Stokigt is a Rookie with pistol and medikit, so that she's a valid support for the initial stage missions where you need to restore a bit of health in case of damages.

I love to paint the hair blue, such a touch of sensuality for a Rookie, took inspiration from this figure:

X-COM 2 Codex

 

The Codex is an alien encountered in X-COM 2. 

It acts as a highly mobile unit, primarily living within the aliens' and ADVENT's computer systems.

In This is the version that inspired me, despite its rifle or the ability to tele-transport, I am always scared when playing XCOM2 by its ability to cast a psionic rift that covers a large area of effect, which will disable the use of normal primary weapons inside it, resulting in the weapons being emptied of ammunition. 

The psionic rift is announced by its purple smoke/gas effect coming from its hands and being shut to the the enemy location, possibly where is the biggest concentration of Team soldiers.

The custom is made starting from a resin copy of Songbird from the Eaglemoss Marvel Super Heroes Figurine Collection, in a 1/20 scale.

As said many times, all my works are made on a 90mm scale, that is suitable with a range of scale between 1/20 (largest) and 1/24 (smallest).

1/20 is typical of Eaglemoss figures, MA.K.Hasegawa figure or many other brands.

1/24 is the most common scale for medium size figures, the largest part of Companies are proposing their 1/24 figures, as Tamiya, El Vejo Dragon, Hasegawa, Masterbox etc...

Suitable is also one of the classic size from Preiser for the trains diorama figures, they call "scale G" that is a 1:22,5 scale.

Despite the figures from Preiser are really focused on standard civilian figures I love the quality of their models and the price is very very convenient. I used this figures from Praiser for base bodies and customized with the Green Milliput, you can find many examples in the Skif Marvel Customs galleries by looking for Marrina, Namorita, Molecule Man etc etc..

X-Com Colonel "Skif", Sniper Team Menace 1-5

 

Sorry for the double post on the same day, but it's worth it... yes because the new member of XCOM Team Menace 1-5 is a sniper and he's a bit autobiographical. 😀😀😀😀

When playing the game I always name a sniper "Skif". I usually play with two snipers and at least two Mechs, one Ranger and 1 Shiv...

Doesn't matter the armor, but two snipers is my way of Xcoming to the game!
