The Fallen One

The Fallen One was originally a Herald of the cosmic entity Galactus, and was his first attempt at creating a servant. Unlike later Heralds, the Fallen One was empowered by dark energy as opposed to cosmic radiation. The Fallen One, however, proved to be very cruel and was eventually imprisoned by Galactus. The Fallen One managed to escape and repeatedly attacked Galactus, who always defeated his former Herald. The hero Star-Lord eventually imprisoned the Fallen One in the inter-galactic prison the Kyln. The Fallen One escaped when the Kyln was destroyed in a conflict between Thanos and the entity the Maker. Although the Fallen One found Galactus once again, Galactus simply teleported him back to Thanos to deal with. Thanos managed to defeat the Fallen One by tricking him into igniting a gas giant, which rendered him unconscious. Thanos then mentally enslaved him, forcing him to serve as Thanos' Herald.

The Grand Director

The Grand Director (William Burnside), also known as the Captain America of the 1950s, is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics Universe. He was created
by writer Steve Englehart and artist Sal Buscema in Captain America #153-156 (September–December, 1972) as having been a specifically different Captain
America, the Captain America introduced in 1953 in Young Men comics.

In a later storyline, the character was given a new white costume and the title "The Grand Director" by Buscema and writers Roger McKenzie and Jim Shooter in
Captain America #232 (April, 1979) and altered to be a villain, leader of a group of White Supremacists that included a brainwashed Sharon Carter. The
character was killed off at the end of that storyline, and not used again until Captain America (Vol. 5) #42, returning to being active as the "Captain
America of the 1950s" separate from the then-current Captain America, James "Bucky" Barnes.

Zaladane, no eaglemoss, simply Skifelmoss!

Courtesy of Marvel Wikia

Zaladane claimed that her real name was Zala Dane and that she was the sister of Lorna Dane, the mutant Polaris. It is not known how Zaladane came to live in the Savage Land,
a prehistoric tropical jungle existing on the Antarctic continent, nor how she became queen and high priestess of the Sun People, one of the many races inhabiting the Savage Land.

Zaladane was the high priestess of Petrified Man, the sun god worshiped by the Sun People. She led her people in a war in Garrok's name to conquer more of the Savage Land. However, an unnamed British sailor five centuries ago had visited the Savage Land and drank a strange liquid there that endowed him with immortality and superhuman powers. Over the centuries it also slowly gave him the physical appearance of the stone-like Garrok. Returning to the Savage Land, he proclaimed himself to be the god Garrok and used his powers to destroy the weapons of Zaladane's army, thereby ending the war. Shortly thereafter Garrok died after having been immersed in the liquid that had given him his powers.

Many months later, Zaladane painted the chest of a captive named Kirk Marston with oil made from the Petrified Man's ashes, causing Marston to transform into the Petrified Man, whose consciousness supplanted Marston's. Zaladane then became Garrok's principal aide as he attempted to bring peace to the Savage Land by forcing its people to live in a city he had constructed. However, the jungle lord Ka-Zar and the X-Men wrecked their plans.

Years later, Zaladane became the assistant of the superhuman being called the High Evolutionary in his successful effort to restore the Savage Land after its destruction by the alien Terminus. Zaladane allied herself with the Savage Land Mutates, Savage Land natives who had been given superhuman powers through artificially induced mutation.

Following the High Evolutionary's departure Zaladane amassed an army of Savage Land natives, who were mentally controlled for her by the Savage Land Mutate named Worm. She then had Lorna Dane abducted and brought to the Savage Land. Zaladane then stole Lorna's superhuman powers over magnetism and infused them into her own body. Ka-Zar and members of the X-Men battled and defeated Zaladane and her forces. Her army was released from Worm's control and Lorna regained her freedom. Sometime later she regained her magnetic powers.

Months later, still in command of the Savage Land Mutates, Zaladane launched an attempt to control all the magnetic forces of the planet Earth. Nick Fury, director of the international law enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D., Ka-Zar, Magneto, and the X-Man Rogue joined forces to stop her. Magneto executed Zaladane.

Some progress on Angela and Warbird.

I had a bit of time to progress on both Warbird and Angela.

As you see in the picture below, Angela is almost finished. Still some painting needed, but I believe the sculpting is done.

I had to remove right arm from Warbird and resculpt some part of it, I preferred also to relocate it in a different position. You can notice (by comparing last post) also that I raise the knee pads. This was due to the fact that they were not aligned with the knee and the final effect was "short legs" one. Rasining the knee pads has generated a empty space that I had to cover with extra sculpting (see both elbow arrows on the right picture below).
Also some extra material was modeled on left arm in order to refine the sculpting of that side. Last but not least, I had to resculpt the sword, longer than the previous version. Now she goes for painting.

Last time I received a nice comment from Ska'arr that gently said thaht he started doing his own customs inspired also by my works and this blog you're reading now.
Well, permit me to say that this is the best satisfaction since I started this little works!
This should be the real aim for everyone of us, inspiring, sharing and improve our skills!

So, Ska'arr, thaks a lot for your comment and welcome on board!
I was in your site yesterday and gave a look to your amazing works.
And you guys also, please run to give a look to Ska'arr customs, at the following link: David's Customs.

Ok time to go now, see you soon! Stay tuned!

back from summer break

Hallo everyone!
Hope you spent a good time in these crazy august just finishing.

My though goes to my sister and my friend Ash, I'm thinking of you both and hope with all my brains that you will be back soon on the right track of your lives, as you deserve.

I'm here just to post some wip on the next three creatures.

The picture is showing some room for improvement on Warbird specially. The picture shows the effect of a not scaled arm. According to my considerations below, I should threat the arm in a way that will prolong the forearm and reduce the arm.
This is what comes from the picture, but it leaves me interdict when I compare with the old picture taken when sculpting, where it is evident that the forearm appears congruous. Maybe a painting effect? Or simply a 2D picture effect? A gauge will give the answer.

Again to those friends and fans that are asking me if I'm selling my jobs, I would like to remind that I opened the "Marketplace" area for those (rare) customs I'm selling.

It remains my decision to not work for hire, I'll continue to produce only what... I like to produce ! :)
And the base rules are: continuity (so no variants) and diversity (no repetition).

I understand that the price of those in the Marketplace are much higher than the normal customs you can find all around, but I give a value also on the fact that for 5 years I haven't sold any and the few ones given away in the past were given for free. This leads to the fact that a "Skif custom" in your collection is and should be (and remain for years) a rarity and a "one and only" piece.

The aim of the blog remains to be simply a place where I share my experiences, where I show my mistakes and my successes and where I'll always try to incentivate you guys in doing your own customs, for your colection.

The aim of my collection still remains to be the largest Marvel Characters 90mm scale in the world, and believe me: IT IS!!

See you soon.

Shamrock, Marvel Comics figure

Shamrock is possessed by the souls of thousands of victims of wars who manifest themselves as poltergeists which affect probability within a 20-foot radius of her, altering situations so that she is given an advantage, in essence having "The Luck of the Irish".

This version is made from a copy in resin of one of my old customs Satana, by giving some modification with Magic Sculp White, specially on breasts.
Satana was made at that time from a copy of Eaglemoss Spiderwoman character.

The Captain (Nextwave)

The Captain was an ordinary (slightly stupid) human from Brooklyn. One night, while on a bender in the streets of Brooklyn, two aliens of unknown origin named Spa-fon and Squa-tront, came across the man who was to become the Captain. They granted him the "Messianic Sidda-Complex," the "Heartstar of the space between galaxies." He was tasked with using his newfound power and glory to "make this nightmarish land of 'Brooklyn' a better place." He then used his newly-gained superhuman powers to beat up the aliens because he "thought when you hit leprechauns on the head they turned into gold coins." Finding that this was untrue, he bent over with the intent of robbing them, and instead vomited onto his extraterrestrial benefactors.

Hope you like it guys!

Alflyse custom

Courtesy of marvel.wikia.com

Alflyse is the queen of Svartalfheim and the Dark Elves.
When Hercules, disguised as Thor, tried to confront the Dark Elves in Alflyse's castle, he was put through a series of tests. After proving his worth, he took her to find out how truly "evil" she was. The next morning, he awakened as the King of Svartalfheim and Alflyse's new husband, who ordered her troops to attack Midgard and Asgard to retake his throne. Spying on the whole affair, the Warriors Three decided that if Herc was going to be Thor, then they needed to find their own "Hercules". And out stepped Thor in a skirt, and feeling a draft.

When Thor discovered that Hercules had been impersonating him, he set out to prove nothing could beat the original. Thanks to this, Alflyse discovered that Hercules wasn't Thor and annulled the marriage, freeing Hercules from her.

Hope you enjoy my last custom!

Gorr the God Butcher

Courtesy of marvel.wikia.com :

Gorr The God Butcher was born on a planet with no name, almost everyday on the brink of starvation. He was taught to trust in the gods but they never answered his prayers. At a early age his mother and father died and he was left on his own. He then had to fend for himself in the harsh environment, years later he married and fathered some children but most of them died and when his pregnant mate Arra was killed during an earthquake he was left with one son who was on the brink of death. While trying to reach what was believed to be a forest his son died while Gorr was promising him that when they reach the forest he will never go hungry again. Stricken with grief Gorr gave up hope believed there was no gods. However after learning they actually existed Gorr vowed vengeance for no god ever answering his prayers. Gorr despises any god and seeks to kill all of them, and according to Gorr himself he killed many gods of fear, war, chaos, genocide, revenge, plagues, earthquake, blood, wrath, jealousy, death, degradation and very few gods of poetry and flowers.
After killing a god from America, the body washed up on the shores of Iceland where it was found by Thor. At a later date, while accompanying a Viking raiding party to Russia, Thor found some of the Slavic gods dead. Thor encountered Gorr who attacked him. Gorr nearly managed to kill Thor, but just before the killing blow, Thor conjured a lightning strike which knocked both of them out. Gorr recovered and escaped to a cave, where he once again fought Thor who believed he had succeeded in slaying him.

Gorr survived their encounter however and would spend the next thousand years butchering more and more gods, growing ever stronger and amassing an army of dark minions. Thor once again took notice of Gorr's activities and began hunting him. While Thor ventured to the cave looking for him where they once fought, Gorr was busy somewhere else, making a portal through time from god's blood. He went back and slayed the very first god, taking his heart as a trophy. He then headed forward in time, where he met the Thor of many millenia in the future, saving him for last. Thor of the present quickly found his trail and went into the portal, but arrived in the future a few hundred years after Gorr. The only god left was his future self, who resembled his father greatly.

Little did the two Thors know was that Gorr had made another trip into the past to get the Thor from around 800 ad, the Thor he first met. He brought him back to the future where he made him a slave, along with the other remaining gods. Gorr kept them alive so they would build his God Bomb he would use to exterminate the rest of them
