the detour of The Boys finished half of August.
It was really though and challenging, but I enjoyed a lot doing all the 50 charatcers from The Boys.
Now it's time to go back to the origins of this blog and continue the Wave Six of Marvel Comics.
I liked the way I distributed The Boys characters in the way to propose a closed number of 50.
So also for Marvel Comics I'll try now a similar closed number of customs: twenty customs connected to the theme "Forgotten Characters" to start.
They will continue to follow the numbering of Wave Six, this means that the next custom I am introducing here is the number 508 on Marvel Comics theme.
And it is also #1/20 of the subseries "Marvel Comics Forgotten Characters".

Let's start with Scarlett Centurion (Nathaniel Richards)!
Scarlet Centurion is a powerful, time-traveling charatcer in Marvel Comics, most famously adopted by Nathaniel Richards (the true identity of Kang the Conqueror) and his son, Marcus Kang.
The mantle of the Scarlet Centurion has been worn by different individuals across various timelines in Marvel lore, deeply tying the character to the multiverse and time travel.
After his defeat as the Pharaoh Rama-Tut by the Fantastic Four, Nathaniel Richards was stranded in the modern era. Inspired by his meeting with his ancestor, Doctor Doom, he designed a high-tech, crimson suit of armor and took the name Scarlet Centurion.
He manipulated the Avengers into fighting their reality's counterparts, but was ultimately defeated and forced to abandon the identity, later evolving into Kang the Conqueror.
In an alternate universe, a version of the Scarlet Centurion remained in this character and became a major, recurring adversary of the superhero team known as the Supreme Squadron.
During the famous Kang Dynasty storyline, Kang the Conqueror trained his clone/son, Marcus, to become the new Scarlet Centurion. Clad in the iconic red armor, Marcus aided his father in successfully conquering Earth, though his secret affection for the superhero Warbird (Carol Danvers) eventually led to his tragic downfall and death at the hands of his own father.
Creating this custom figure at 1/21 scale (roughly 85-90mm tall) demanded precision.
Utilizing the Anycubic Photon Mono M7 series 3D printer ensures incredible detail reproduction. Its high-resolution screen easily captures the intricate armor panel lines, the sharp edges of the futuristic centurion helmet, and the flowing textures of the cape characteristic of the Marvel character design.
Water-washable resin is an excellent choice for a home workshop environment. It completely eliminates the need for harsh isopropyl alcohol (IPA) baths, making the post-processing phase significantly safer and less odorous, while still retaining crisp, brittle-free details at a smaller scale.
The 1/21 scale is traditionally used in premium figurine collections (like the classic Eaglemoss superhero lines). At this size, the STL file proportions must be perfect; any errors in supporting the model could lead to warped limbs or misaligned armor pieces. The Photon Mono M7 handles these delicate tolerances flawlessly.
The choice of combining professional-grade acrylic paints brings the character to life with nice color depth.
Vallejo Acrylics: renowned for their ultra-fine pigments, Vallejo paints are perfect for smooth, streak-free base coats on resin. They allow you to build up the deep, vibrant crimson of the Centurion’s armor using thin layers, preserving the printed micro-details without clogging them.
Italeri Acrylics: often favored for military modeling, Italeri paints provide highly durable matte finishes and excellent metallic shades. They are ideal for shading the mechanical under-suit, weapon accessories, and adding realistic wear or weathering to the sci-fi armor panels.
The original model was taken from Cults3D for free thanks the author BeerOclock, original file name: Ready To Fight Super Hero.
The model was separated from his originl diorama base, and totally resculpted by adding: helm, mantle, trident, bracelets, boots, gloves, a new face and the whole armor vest. All was done using SculptGL and merged in a single STL file (222MB about) that you can easily download for free from my Cults3D page.
After printing I hade to rebuild some thiny parts of the mantle and the helm, this was done using Green Milliput.
