what's cooking today and plans for tomorrow

 Dear followers,

today I give you a preview of the projects I'm working on and that concern the short and medium term but also the long term.

There are still 46 miniatures that I printed in resin with the 3D printer that I have to work on.

I am showing you 13 of them in the photo below, with the indication of the character they will play.

These are all custom Marvel Comics and they are not all because the Marvel customs that I think I will issue in the medium term should be 19 in total, namely:

Agata Arkness, Prism, Ganymede, Titan, Whizzler, Man Elephant, Lady Dorma, Gemini, Virgo, Blockbuster, Janus, Megaman, Phantom Reporter,  Shard, Sculphunter, Lady Deadpool, White Dragon, Atlantean Warrior girl and the Phantom Rider...

After completing these new 19 custom Marvel Comics figures, it will be time for the X-Com Wave 2.

This is already in the long term: there are 27 characters between humans and aliens, already printed, waiting to receive the green milliput and the paint to integrate the already well-populated X-Com gallery.

Finally, in the very long term, I'm talking about 2026, I plan to have printed another 118 characters, which you can download in STL format all for free from my Cults3D page already today.

These 118 will be divided as follows:

Sixth (final) Marvel Comics Wave: 97 characters (I scraped the bottom of the barrel...)

Third (and last) X-Com Wave: 21 characters.

Maybe I'll be able to finish them all, with an average of 4 per month, in three years, so we'll keep together at least until 2029...

In 2029 I'll re-consider the sense of existence of this blog, as well as the Youtube page, and decide whether to continue in this titanic undertaking or hang up my paintbrushes and say goodbye... We'll see... there's a lot of time between me today and that moment...

While working with the french government in Vietnam Gustav met and fell in love with Lau Brandt. After marrying her they were hunted down by her brother Khruul throughout Vietnam for ten months before Lau gave birth to thier daughter who would become known as Mantis.

He then returned to America where he was approached by Cornelius Van Lunt who offered him a position in his crime organization known as Zodiac. Gustav accepted and took his position as Libra in Honolulu, Hawaii. Months later Libra attended a meeting with other Zodiac leaders when Nick Fury posed as Scorpio and "captured" the Avengers. 

Months later under the leadership of Aries Libra and the other members of Zodiac attacked the Avengers and tried to take over Manhattan. However due to the combined forces of Daredevil, the Black Panther, and the Avengers the team was transported to the Ankh Dimension in order to restore power to the Zodiac Key. (...)

I started from a STL figure taken for free around the net and remodeled in order to have the Skrull Talos, armed with a gun, with his classic trench coat.

Marvel Comics custom White Vision

 Hi fellows,

it is very easy to find a Marvel Comic Vision STL file in internet ready for printing and long time ago, when I was at the beginning of the transition to the e-sculpting and e-customizing I choose this cheap version of Vision for print.

Definitely at today I would choose a different one, due to the variery of figures you can find around, or eventually after many months training with modelling softwares (I specially use SculptGL online for free and 3DCad for the cut and merge of my e-customs) I can say I would custom my own one strating from a male base figure.

But...  I am still painting the first wave of figures I print last year and still have many many to oaint now on, so that's it!

A gladiator but not the Marvel one...

Dear all, about 9 years ago I bought this gladiator from White Models but have never been able to paint it.

It was time before the long stop I had (5 years without blogging).

Many things changed since then, couple of years ago I  heard about these 3d printers that were going to be responsible for the slow declining of the modellers and I though it was not yet the time to quit for me.

I started printing and painting 3d models to increase the Classic Marvel Figurine Collection of the former Eaglemoss, and I still have about 50 of them printed and ready to be customized with green Milliput and a lot of passion.

Since months I also started customizing STL files in order to produce my own STL models to be printed, avoiding in this way to put hands on Milliputs again.

Recently I started even e-modelling from scratch,  and I have to say I am really enthusiastic with this!

Still 50 Marvel and Xcom figures already printed and waiting to be customized or painted, and about other 80 figures Marvel and Xcom already e-modelled and waiting to be printed.... You can find all of them in my Cults3D page.

But before say a final goodbye to the old lead style of painting and modelling I was having this old lead model and I wanted to finish this job, started 9 years ago... the last òead model to me.

Not a Marvel.... nota a X-Com.... but I hope you like it anyway!

P.S.: you will not find it in the Marvel nor X-Com galleries.... It doesn't match with them at all!
